Safety Town is a safety education program offered to children entering young 5's and kindergarten in September. Each section includes eight days of class over a two-week time period. Topics include school bus, bike, and electrical safety, stranger danger, what to do in case of fire, and how to call 911. The children practice reciting their name, address, telephone number, and names of their parents. They also ride bikes in Safety Town Village to practice bike and street safety. Safety Town is a fun, educational experience that will help students become more safety-minded at home, at school, and in the community! Parents will receive a letter in late May with more information. Enrollment is limited.

Chess Scholars: Develop your child's intellect through the royal game of chess! Current research has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Chess has been proven to enhance children's motivation, concentration, focus, social skills, and creativity. Each day will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Both beginner and experienced players are welcome and will learn under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach.

Inspire the inventor and scientist in this Ultimate STEM-Makers Camp! Campers will overcome a series of challenges using basic materials, simple machines, tips from famous inventors and the most important of all----their mind! With a little bit of ingenuity children will create catapults and forts, and even construct their own working Light Sabers to take home!! While Thomas Edison said "invention is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration", this camp is 100% FUN! Daily themes include: Do Like da Vinci; Modern & Medieval Machines; Edison, Bell, & Tesla; Awesome Inventions; and Shipwrecked Shelters! This camp is sure to make your kiddo exclaim, “Eureka!” NASA Camp: Academy of Future Space Explorers *** Mad Science has teamed up with NASA in a quest for exploration! We’ll take a voyage of discovery into the atmosphere and beyond as we explore planets, moons, and other space phenomena in our solar system. Things will heat up as we examine the sun and other stars and discover the difficulties of space travel! Kids will get a firsthand experience of the challenges of living in space as they try to assemble a satellite while training to be an astronaut. For added fun, we’ll learn about the various technologies that make space exploration possible while bouncing lasers around the room! Kids will love to build their own Mad Science Skyblazer Rocket and participate in a real “NASA” style rocket launch. Campers will receive many cool NASA take homes! Secret Agent Lab The following camp description is TOP SECRET: Ever dream of becoming a secret agent? We'll start with the basics: From decoding messages to metal detectors and night vision, campers have the opportunity to check out spy tech equipment and take home lots of gadgets! Step into the shoes of a detective as you uncover the science involved in evidence gathering and analysis! Figure out the science of forensics in a hands-on look at crime scenes! Become a super spy and learn clever ways of performing tasks as we take a hands-on investigation of the science that spies use! *New for 2024* Underground Explorers! Calling all Jr. Archaeologists and Paleontologists! Uncover the mysteries of ancient civilizations, explore the history of dinosaurs & dig up the ancient past! Learn about archaeology & the techniques scientists use to excavate long lost cities. Discover ancient civilizations & the tools and artifacts they used in everyday life. Kids will love to study bone fragments, pottery shards, amber deposits, and fossils! Camp is filled with cool take homes such as amber keychains, world coins, plaster hand cast and more.
