School Age Child Care

Dexter Community Education School-Age Child Care supports working families by providing dependable after-school care, child care on non-school days, and summer camp programming. Our state-licensed program serves children from Young 5 through Grade 6 and focuses on enrichment, recreation, and a safe, structured environment beyond the school day.

Our experienced staff provide age-appropriate activities, games, projects, and both indoor and outdoor play. Children also have time for reading or homework, along with opportunities for free play to build social skills and explore personal interests. All programs operate in accordance with District policies and procedures.

After Care

After Care provides reliable, state-licensed care for students in Young 5s through Grade 6 on regular school days. Our program offers a structured, safe environment after dismissal, with time for snack, play, and age-appropriate activities in a familiar school setting. Families can choose between Full After Care and Mini After Care options, depending on their schedule needs.

Full details for After Care 2026–27, including registration dates, locations, schedules, and policies, can be found on our After Care information page.
