Dexter Community Ed offers a variety of field hockey programs for girls and boys in grades 2-6. Newcomers are welcome!
Core skills coached include dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, and team concepts. Parents are responsible for providing a stick, shin guards and mouthguard for practice and games. Sticks and shin guards can be provided for new players on a short-term basis.
The 2nd grade program offers one weekday practice.
The 3rd-4th grade program offers one weekday practice and league game in Ann Arbor (Saturday or Sunday - TBD by A2 Rec & Ed).
The 5th-6th grade program offers one weekday practice and league game in Ann Arbor (Saturday or Sunday - TBD by A2 Rec & Ed).
The 7th-8th grade program is an official sport at Mill Creek Middle School in the fall and a Community Ed travel team in the spring with one practice and one game on weekends in the league managed by Ann Arbor Rec & Ed.
