Dexter Youth Football League (DYFL) offers flag football for students in 1st–6th grade (fall 2026 grade). Players are placed on teams based on their fall grade (1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, or 5th/6th).
The focus is on learning the game of football while having fun in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Instruction emphasizes fundamental skills and teamwork.
The registration fee includes a DYFL t-shirt and flags that players will keep. Players are encouraged to wear a mouthguard (not provided by DYFL).
New this year: Games and practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Dexter from 5:30–7:30 p.m.
The season runs from early September through mid-October. Additional practice and game details will be shared prior to the start of the season.
DYFL is a volunteer-supported program. Parent volunteers are needed to help make the season a success—if you are interested in coaching or helping, please indicate that during registration.
Participation from those outside of the Dexter community is welcome. Please register under the “Out of District” course section; requests will be reviewed by the DYFL Board.
