Dexter Community Education

Mad Science delivers interactive, hands-on science experiences through virtual programs, traditional after-school programs and summer camps. The after school programs are the perfect break between school and homework and their innovative programs are as entertaining as they are educational!  Classes offered at Anchor or Beacon may include students from both schools.  Teachers and paraprofessionals often help students find the class on the first day, but afterwards students are expected to go to the after school class by themselves.  You may want to practice getting from their classroom to a class location in another building.  No refunds within 7 days of classes or camps begining.  Note: After school classes at Bates are open to any student. However, parents of students not registered for After Care are responsible for drop off and pick up at Bates.

Spring 2024 - Ready, STEM, Go!

In this program, children learn foundational science and find out how STEM is at work in the world around them! They learn about the animal kingdom, both on land and under the sea. They make mixtures and explore the science of motion and energy. They also discover the technology that powers our modern world.
