Dexter Community Education Child Care is a support service provided for working families which includes after school care and non-school day special programs. We specialize in "out of school time" enrichment and recreation programs for Young 5 through Grade 6. Our child care services are licensed by the state and we employ qualified, experienced, caring staff to offer fun activities specifically designed for each grade level. Children participate in age-appropriate activities, games, projects, and indoor & outdoor play. They will have time for reading and homework by choice, as well as free time to build social skills and share interests and talents. We maintain a safe, nurturing, warm and welcoming environment in our centers and follow District policies and procedures All School Age Care programs are located at Bates. Anchor, Beacon and Wylie students are escorted from their school to Bates by Care Staff for After Care and for Half-Day Care. Creekside students ride a bus to the hub and walk to Bates. On No School full days, students may be dropped off at the Bates front entrance after 7:30 am. AFTER CARE: After care runs from dismissal school bell until 6:00 pm.
