  • DHS Drama NYC Trip 2025

    Join DDC for their annual trip to NYC! Trip includes Broadway shows, hotel stay, museums, city sites. Open to current Juniors, Seniors. Travel dates are March 21-25, 2025. Limited to 30 students. Total trip cost is $1500 and will be broken down into three payments of $500. The first payment is due October 1, 2024. The two additional payments will be automatically charged to your account on November 1 and December1, 2024. If you would like to make a payment before the due date, you can log in to your Eleyo account, go to the dashboard, find the Trip registration and make a payment of the desired amount. No refunds!     DHS MYIG Spring Conference This $170.00 fee is due by December 13th and covers three nights at the hotel, some meals, MYIG t-shirt, and bus transportation.     Advertise in The Squall! The Squall is Dexter High School's award-winning, student-driven newsmagazine. The issue is distributed four times each school year (October, December, March and May), and is available to students, staff, and the local community. Prices are as follows for specific ad sizes: $50 for a business card (3 2/3" x 2"), $130 for a quarter page (3 2/3" x 5"), $250 for a half page (7 1/2" x 5"), and $500 for a full page (7 1/2" x 10").   • International Thespian Society Membership 24-25

    Student Membership is open to all Drama Club students. This internationally recognized organization is devoted entirely to supporting theatre education. Students can become a member of the Honor Society and earn awards, attend special events, apply for scholarships, and receive educational materials. One-time fee is good for all years at DHS and can be transferred if the student switches school districts.
  • Mill Creek Holocaust History 6th & 7th hour classes

    Mill Creek Middle School: Holocaust History 6th & 7th hour classes Holocaust History classes at Mill Creek will be going to the Zekelman Holocaust Center in Farmington Hills, MI on January 10, 2025. We are fortunate to have such high quality learning opportunities to explore in our community. We appreciate adult chaperones who volunteer to accompany us on this trip, either meeting us there or by riding along on the bus. If you are able to join us for the trip to the Holocaust Center, please email Cheryl Darnton by December 17 at <darntonc@dexterschools.org>. Thanks for considering! Please see the itinerary details below: When: Friday, January 10, 2025. Leave Mill Creek by school bus at 8:15 AM, return at 12:45 PM (Our group will eat during the 3rd lunch session back at Mill Creek.) Where: Zekelman Holocaust Center, 28123 Orchard Lake Rd, Farmington Hills, MI 48334 Cost: Thanks to a generous grant by the Educational Foundation of Dexter, student tickets to the museum have been paid for. We are asking families to donate $16.00 to offset the cost of transportation. They may bring their phones (non-flash photos are allowed on the tour). *On winter field trips, all students must bring a winter coat/gloves/hat in case of unforeseen bus problems.
