This 3-day clinic is designed for players who are new to catching or looking to build a solid foundation behind the plate. Each session focuses on the essential skills every great catcher needs — receiving, blocking, throwing, and game awareness. Through focused drills, demonstrations, and fun competitions, players will develop confidence, improve their technique, and learn what it means to lead from behind the plate.
Key Focus Areas:
Who Should Attend: Baseball and softball players ages 8–12 who want to learn or refine the core fundamentals of catching. No prior catching experience required — just bring your gear, energy, and willingness to work hard!
Coach Rick has coached baseball and softball since 2016, including Little League, travel baseball, and travel softball. He has also been part of the Dexter High School JV softball coaching staff. Over the years, he has led multiple All-Star teams to District Championships and guided teams to appearances in the State Little League Tournament in both baseball and softball. In addition to his coaching experience, he holds a USA Baseball “C” Coaching Certificate.
