Catchers Clinic

Community Ed Programming / Youth Recreation and Sports -
Fall 2025

This 3-day clinic is designed for players who are new to catching or looking to build a solid foundation behind the plate. Each session focuses on the essential skills every great catcher needs — receiving, blocking, throwing, and game awareness. Through focused drills, demonstrations, and fun competitions, players will develop confidence, improve their technique, and learn what it means to lead from behind the plate.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Proper stance and setup for each situation
  • Receiving and framing fundamentals
  • Blocking mechanics and recovery drills
  • Footwork and throwing accuracy
  • Communication and leadership with pitchers and coaches

Who Should Attend: Baseball and softball players ages 8–12 who want to learn or refine the core fundamentals of catching. No prior catching experience required — just bring your gear, energy, and willingness to work hard!
