Safety Town is a safety education program offered to children entering young 5's and kindergarten in September. Each section includes eight days of class over a two-week time period. Topics include school bus, bike, and electrical safety, stranger danger, what to do in case of fire, and how to call 911. The children practice reciting their name, address, telephone number, and names of their parents. They also ride bikes in Safety Town Village to practice bike and street safety. Safety Town is a fun, educational experience that will help students become more safety-minded at home, at school, and in the community! Parents will receive a letter in late May with more information.
