SPRING 2025 - Fantasic Forces - Jr. Scientists will explore a variety of introductory topics in engineering, physics, and chemistry as they learn how science can be applied in everyday life. They learn about concepts like bridge construction, the forces of flight, how air pressure can be used to move things, and more! MAD SCIENCE REFUND POLICY: cancellation requests must be received at least seven (7) days before the start date of the class. Refunds will not be issued for cancellation requests received less than seven days before the class begins.
  • Tree City Bricks - LEGO® Therapy

    Tree City Creative Learning uses LEGO® Therapy SPRING 2025 - Interesting Inventions and Creations Most objects we use on a daily basis were invented by someone. Find out the origins of things like the hand mixer, windshield wipers and conveyor belts. During this unit, students will discuss the difference between an invention and a discovery, learn how inventions solve problems, and find out how inventors get their ideas patented. Each week, students are encouraged to think of what they could invent, or improvements they could make to an existing object to solve a problem. So many things we use each day are someone’s invention. Introduce your student to the world of ideas, creativity, inventions and patents. We will construct different familiar objects each week such as a hand mixer, windshield wipers and a conveyor belt. Each model is motorized for maximum movement and fascination! Start creating! LEGO® Therapy, often used in educational and therapeutic settings, offers a range of benefits for individuals, particularly children, with diverse needs. Imagination encircles the world.” - Albert Einstein The Creative Writing Club, brought to you by Afterschool Enrichment Solutions, is designed to ignite the imaginations of young writers, foster their love for language, and cultivate their creative expression. Through exploration of classic literature, inspiring writing exercises, creative language games and collaboration, students will explore different genres, learn and practice grammatical concepts, develop their writing skills, and build confidence in their ability to communicate effectively. Note: Our after-school classes held in school buildings are open to all students. Please note that students will need to navigate to other buildings on their own if their class is not in their home building.
  • Chess Scholars

    Develop your child's intellect through the royal game of chess! Current research has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Chess has been proven to enhance children's motivation, concentration, focus, social skills, and creativity. Each day will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Both beginner and experienced players are welcome and will learn under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach. Note: Our after-school classes held in school buildings are open to all students.     Got a little jokester with a knack for drawing? Then our Young Rembrandts Cartoon class is perfect for them! They’ll get to bring inanimate objects to life, turning the Sun and Moon into hilarious cartoon characters. A funny Bird Feeding Sequence will have them mastering the art of visual storytelling, and our colorful Forest Animals will be bursting with personality!   • Safety Town 2025

    Safety Town is a safety education program offered to children entering young 5's and kindergarten in September. Each section includes eight days of class over a two-week time period. Topics include school bus, bike, and electrical safety, stranger danger, what to do in case of fire, and how to call 911. The children practice reciting their name, address, telephone number, and names of their parents. They also ride bikes in Safety Town Village to practice bike and street safety. Safety Town is a fun, educational experience that will help students become more safety-minded at home, at school, and in the community! Parents will receive a letter in late May with more information. Enrollment is limited.
